Hypnotherapy

Have you ever experienced being completely absorbed in a book, movie, music, or even one's own thoughts or meditations? This is a great comparison to the experience of hypnotherapy.

In both cases, individuals can enter states of heightened focus and concentration, often referred to as "flow" in the context of activities like reading, watching a compelling film, or meditating.

During hypnotherapy, this state of deep relaxation and heightened focus is deliberately induced to facilitate therapeutic goals. While in this state, individuals are more receptive to suggestions and feedback from the therapist. This heightened suggestibility allows the therapist to work with the client to address specific issues or behaviors.

Over time and with practice, clients can learn to enter this state of awareness on their own, which can be a valuable skill for gaining greater control over their physical and psychological responses. This self-awareness and control can be helpful in managing stress, overcoming phobias, breaking habits, and addressing various emotional or behavioral challenges.

You still have full CONTROL under Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis, as it's typically used in therapeutic settings, is quite different from how it's often portrayed in entertainment media. During a hypnotherapy session, you remain conscious and aware of your surroundings. You won't be asleep or unconscious, and you will not lose control over your thoughts or actions. Instead, you're in a state of heightened focus and relaxation.

The therapist provides suggestions to help you achieve specific therapeutic goals, such as overcoming a phobia, reducing stress, or breaking a habit. However, it's ultimately up to you whether you choose to accept and act upon those suggestions. Hypnosis works by tapping into your own inner resources and facilitating positive changes in your behavior or mindset, but you retain full control and can reject any suggestions that you're uncomfortable with. It's a collaborative process between you and the therapist to achieve the desired outcomes.
